Since 1998 we have produced and shipped a catalog which displays full pages of our major award-winning Endorsers' work, along with information about our complete line of American-made premium artist panels and other fine art supplies. This year will be no exception as we move forward in preparing one of our most exciting catalogs to date. More than a catalog of products, it is a catalogue of some of the finest artists in the country and their work, presented in a high-quality booklet format.

We have often fielded telephone calls inquiring how artists can become featured in our catalog as well as on our website as the "Featured Artist". Quite simply it is primarily based on national merit and the recognition our Endorsers have earned. And it is for this same reason that we have asked them to participate in helping to identify and ultimately reward the up and coming artists. So, for the first time ever, we are accepting submissions for consideration to be showcased on the front cover of our catalog.

The contest is limited to oil, acrylic and pastel. You may enter as many paintings as you would like, or simply visit the Gallery to vote on your favorite works in the special contest Gallery section of our website. All submissions will be judged by some of the finest artists in the country. Ten finalists per month will be added to the pool of potential contest winners, and the judges will select the winning entries from that pool. All entries will be available for viewing in the SourceTek Gallery.

The contest will run for three months starting March 1, 2012 and ending May 31, 2012. Every month 10 finalists will be chosen. At the end of the three months, our panel of judges will review the Finalists' body of work and make their selections.

IMPORTANT DATE: Entries must be submitted by the last day of the month to be eligible for that month's review and selection as a Finalist.

PRIZES:
Artists selected as a Finalist will receive a $50.00 SourceTek Gift Card as well as special recognition for their work.

Grand Prize winner: will receive the cover of our next catalog, a three-month segment as the Featured Artist on our website, a $1000 SourceTek gift card, and will be featured in a full page SourceTek ad in a national magazine.

1st Place: Will receive a $700.00 SourceTek gift card, Holbein gift set, Silver Brush gift set and a D-Lead gift set.

2nd Place: Will receive a $300.00 SourceTek gift card, Silver Brush gift set and a D-Lead gift set.

3rd Place: Will receive a $250.00 SourceTek gift card.

Honorable Mention: Five artists will receive a $100.00 SourceTek gift card.

WILD CARD: One lucky artist will be selected for a workshop at Scottsdale Artists' School.

ENTRY PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION:
Images of your work should be unframed.

Each image should be in JPEG (.JPG) format and sized to 1000 pixels at their largest dimension (height or width). Each JPG is not to exceed 1Meg in size.

Identify each JPEG as follows: Your LASTNAME, then FIRSTNAME, followed by the painting title and (submission) number (e.g., SmithJohn_AutumnCreek1.jpg, SmithJohn_WinterSnow2.jpg, or SmithJohn_SunsetPond3.jpg).

There are no registration fees. Each submission is $15.00 or 3 for $30.00 when you use a special promotional code. Material can be submitted in one of the following ways:

1) Online:

• Process payment by clicking the "Purchase for" button from the Shopping Cart,
• Forward the emailed receipt with your images.

2) US Mail:

• Complete the Online Artist Entry Form, (above),

• Print receipt,
• Fill out receipt and submit with CD or thumb drive

The Fine Print and Rules:
Entrants must be 18 years or older, and willing to provide full name, address, website (if applicable) and email address information.  (We never sell or share your information.)

Submissions must be via high resolution .jpg digital images of paintings in either oil, acrylic or pastel, and must be representations of your own original work which has been signed by you.  You may only submit your own work, and SourceTek reserves the right to ask for proof of creative ownership of any submission if there is any question as to the originality of the work(s) .  Any infringements on copyrighted material will be disqualified upon being reported to us.  The painting(s) can be already sold or still available for sale.

In order to be fair to all entrants, each artist may only win one of the Cover Contest awards listed above. You may enter a painting each month of the Contest until it wins as a Monthly Finalist.  The decision of the judges for all awards is final.

By entering the Cover Competition you automatically agree to all of the Contest Rules and hold harmless and grant SourceTek a perpetual license (which, of course, is not exclusive) to reproduce the images you submit, to post them in our Contest Gallery on our website, and/or to use them in any advertising venues.  Any time your work is represented in one of the above formats, credits listing your name and/or website will be included.

All prizes are transferable, including gift cards.  However, SourceTek must be advised in writing as to whom winners will be transferring the prize(s).  Any taxes on the prizes are the sole responsibility of the prize winners.  No substitutions or cash redemptions allowed.  We reserve the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize is not available.  Void where prohibited by law.
